More School-based Apprenticeships and Traineeships Obtained!
Every four weeks our Pathway of Excellence Apprenticeships students have been in the workplace as part of their work experience at various local businesses. Feedback has been very positive with employers saying that our students are punctual, well-dressed and respectful. Their hard work and effort has also earned many of them a paid position. Keegan obtains his Apprenticeship
In 2011 Keegan Duncker made the decision to be part of our first group of Pathway of Excellence Apprenticeships students. Keegan has an interest in mechanics and over the past year has completed work experience at Cummins Diesel, Volvo Trucks, Future Auto Rocklea and Jonker Plant Hire and Engineering. Just recently his hard work and dedication during his work experience at Jonker earned him an Apprenticeship! read more
Our POE Apprenticeship Students share their experience
This year our Pathway of Excellence Apprenticeships program has grown from strength to strength. Our students have been in the workplace gaining practical experience in various occupations such as Diesel Fitting, Carpentry and Child Care. We have had very positive feedback from our students’ employers regarding the four week rotation (four weeks in the College learning core subjects followed by four weeks in the workplace). Our students are becoming increasingly comptent in their roles – they are able to build productive working relationships with their colleagues and take part in larger projects.
